The Moving Instant is a jazz fusion duo made up of Jason Graham and Stefano Valdo along with guest stars, including Steve Fletcher on keyboards and Gavin Sorochan on drums for live performances. All musicians are based in Calgary, Alberta and perform in a number of groups. Formed in 2009, The Moving Instant is forging new sounds and thrilling audiences everywhere they go.

Hot off the virtual presses is the self-titled debut album featuring eight original tunes. Currently available for download from the official website, each tune comes with its own variety of influences, from Nineties grunge to hard bop, gospel, and fusion.

JASON GRAHAM is a versatile guitarist who is at home in many genres of music.  He is an honors graduate of the Humber College Jazz Performance program in Toronto and has had continued education with former Oscar Peterson Quartet guitarist Lorne Lofsky, first call Canadian session guitarist Mike Francis, and has studied Classical guitar with Ralp Maier.   Since then Jason has performed as a studio musician in Toronto and Calgary and has performed throughout Canada, the U.S, China, Taiwan and France with such diverse artists as World Music group Barrage, Shane Yellowbird, and former Chic Corea Bassist Ric Fierabracci.

STEFANO VALDOis an experienced performer, studio musician and music educator. Born in Northern Italy, he studied classical guitar and double bass at the local Conservatory. In 1999, Stefano earned his Master of Music degree from California State University at Long Beach. He has since taught at the Grove School of Music Faculty, Harrison School of Music and currently teaches at Ambrose College. Stefano has performed extensively through out North America and Europe with top jazz artist including, Ed Shaughnessy, Greg Bissonette, Justo Almario, Bobby Shew, Buddy Collette, and Jimmy Smith.
